Why do you choose to use HotCold Studio?
Always the hardest working and most helpful team with the most comprehensive gear for stills photography and great studios to choose from.
What is your current go-to equipment?
All depends on the shoot brief…..but from Canon to Phase one they are my weapons of choice.
What do you love most about your job, and what are the biggest challenges you face?
Its all about the people and places and every shoot day is a truly unique opportunity to try something new. Photography is constantly evolving, like fashion and film and its that change that always excites me. The biggest challenges we face are too many opinions on set…they are not ideas ….so trust the combined team talent.
What is your favourite genre of photography to shoot, and what kind of advertising work do you enjoy?
Love lifestyle and aviation in particular, but automotive and tourism related campaigns get me truly fired up as well.

If you weren’t a photographer, what career could you imagine yourself pursuing?
An architect who lives on a farm and plays house music on the weekends at a beach bar!
Has photography ever helped you navigate a difficult experience in your life?
It allowed my passion to earn me a dollar and not be at a desk.
How has your perspective on photography evolved since you started?
So much visual noise out there now so make sure the images you take are reaching for the stars and touch and resonate with people
Which programs do you use for post production, and do you find it an enjoyable part of the process?
Capture One and photoshop are incredible tools but the greatest development in photography was simply the development of a RAW file- the options it gives is mind blowing…more so than what traditional film could give.
What do you do to maintain your creativity and stay inspired?
Look at clouds and dream of brave and inspiring briefs from clients that have a good idea!
